Fiorentina vs. Catania

By Joe, www.Bettingexpert.com

Both teams suffered two successive defeats in the last two rounds of the Serie A. Fiorentina have been pushed off back to the middle pack of the Serie while Catania have now joined the relegation battle. Both teams are in need of points and a draw would not be favorable in this occasion.

Fiorentina dropped to a lowly 12th position in the Serie A after experiencing two defeats in a roll. It certainly surprising that the Viola lost 1-0 to Napoli at home, a week ago, and securing another defeat in the hands of Genoa away, last Wednesday. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini served a touchline ban against Genoa and looks to return against Catania. He will be without the service of Cesare Natali, Martin Jorgensen and Mario Alberto Santan while the partnership between Jovetic and Gilardino could continue.

Catania looks very much relegation candidate after their two defeats in a roll. They lost 2-1 to Inter and suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chievo at home. Things do not look very bright at the moment as they have 7 points out of ten matches and sitting firmly second last in the league. Defender Pablo Alvarez and midfielders Pablo Barrientos and Fabio Sciacca are ruled doubtful while Argentine Adrian Ricchiuti will have to continue his good run upfront.

This is no doubt that Fiorentina are favorites to beat Catania. The Viola boys are set find themselves in a pickle if they don’t get their act together. Three points are on the menu card and Catania looks very much in trouble. Check out Betsson as they are offering 1.47 for a home win.
