After elimination in FA Cup competition, Liverpool will host Inter in the first leg of last 16 Champions Leagues.

Barnsley made the biggest surprise in FA Cup this season with 1:2 victory at Enfield. Reds are now in difficult situation, with 19 points off first in Premier League and hope that they make success in Champions League. Honestly, Liverpool made huge results with not to impressive squad. In my opinion they have stronger team season with Torres in attack then in the previous. Main reason for nineteen years without title in Premiership is they lack of quality players. Beside the coach Benitey, Gerrerd is the key figure and his motivation and spirit, with fantastic crowd and are main Liverpool’s qualities.
The best prove for Liverpool’s captain importance for the team is that he spent 75 minutes on the bench against Barnsley and Reds were in problems. He will be key man in the squad once again with a lot of pressure on his back. The defense line will have a important role as well.

On the other hand Inter looks better then in last maybe twenty years. They have a huge advantage on top of the table in Serie A and without pressure they can concentrate on Champions League. If they continue with form showed in Serie A they could be one of the hottest favorites for throne. The ten consecutive victories in domestic competition wake up rumors and speculations about referees. They beat Livorno 2-0 at Saturday without much effort in preparing for Enfield clash. Mancini’s squad has enough experience in Serie A, but their problem could be lack of Champions matches in previous seasons. It could be main reason for reserved tactics at Enfield.

I don’t believe that we will enjoy in attractive football at Tuesday night. Both sides will concentrate on defensive tasks. Liverpool is on the huge pressure and last thing that they want is to concede goal here. On the other hand Mancini will keep all attacking possibilities for second leg at Meazza.
